Oscillation frequency measurement of gaseous diffusion flames using electrostatic sensing techniques

The oscillation frequency of a burner flame is closely related to the combustion conditions and stability. Oscillation measurement essential for optimized operation process. In this paper, novel use electrostatic sensors in conjunction with power spectral analysis presented gaseous laminar diffusion flame. Experimental tests carried out on rig demonstrate that developed system realises relative deviation from reference value an imaging within ± 6% over constant fuel flow rate 0.60 L/min 0.80 L/min. increases frequencies different regions are similar each rate. Under varying conditions, can measure instantaneous mostly between −10% 0%.
